JOB ALERT: RECRUITMENT OF COVID-19 BRIGADE

The Gauteng Department of Education (GDE) would like to invite all Gauteng residing graduates and unemployed youth between the ages of 18-35 to be part of the COVID-19 Brigades Programme.

The Programme is part of the Department’s overall plan to involve the youth in limiting community transmission and outbreaks within the Education Sector as schools are scheduled to open on the 1st of June 2020.

Recruited Brigades will be placed in schools and government buildings to assist the Department with the following:

Screening of staff and learners
Data Capturing
Monitor compliance e.g social distancing and sanitising

Brigades will be trained by the Gauteng City Region Academy facilitators on how to enforce Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) requirements and precautionary measures to curb the spread of COVID-19 pandemic.

Deployed Brigades will be paid a stipend.
