O KAE MOLAO OPERATION LEADS TO ARREST OF DRUG DEALER IN KAALFONTEIN

Ivory Park officers arrested a 31-year-old male for dealing in drugs on Thursday, 15 October 2020. This was after he was found in possession of 71 so called double star pills, valued at almost R4,000, 00. Additional money, reasonably believed to be proceeds of drug sales, was also found and taken as well.

The officers have, during the station’s Operation O Kae Molao, received information that the man deals in drugs, and that he had a habit of moving up and down with those drugs to avoid arrest by the police. Shortly after observing the address, the officers noticed that people are coming in and out of the shack at regular intervals, leading to the officers believing that something akin to the tip off, may be taking place at the address- Extension 23 Kaalfontein.

Fearing that he may start operating from elsewhere should he suspect he is being watched, the officers went in. On arrival they duly introduced themselves, explained the reason they were there and permission to search was granted. He was found in possession of pills on his person, while others were found in a shack, and some undisclosed amount of money, suspected to be the proceeds of selling drugs, was also found and confiscated.

The suspect is part of the nine suspects arrested during Operation O Kae Molao in the Ivory Park policing precinct on Thursday.

Major General Vincent Leshabane, the Ekurhuleni District commander, was at the scene as well to provide the junior members with advice and how to navigate the arresting process in order for us to end up with successful convictions as well.

All of the nine arrested suspects appeared in the Tembisa Magistrate’s Court on Friday to answer to charges of possession and dealing in drugs
