LOADSHEDDING NOW ONLY 2 HOURS
As reported on the 18th of January 2021. Eskom will from now implement 2hours 30 minutes loadshedding in Gauteng instead of more than 4 hours.
Eskom said that “the move from four to two hours of loadshedding is aimed at addressing the unintended consequences that come with the longer supply interruptions, particularly during the resurgence of COVID-19”.
Kaalfontein, Allandale, Ebony Park (KAE) and surrounding areas of Ivory Park, Rabie Ridge, President Park, Glen Austin, Tswelopele and Lindokhuhle will now experience loadshedding this weekend during the following times::
Saturday, 06 February : 02:00 to 04:30 and 10:00 to 12:30
Sunday, 07 February : 10:00 to 12:30 and 18:00 to 20:30
Load Reduction (which only affects ‘high density’ areas) hours remain unchanged.
