UNIDENTIFIED BODY FOUND IN KAALFONTEIN
Ivory Park Police were called to an address in Kaalfontein on Saturday morning, 9 April 2022, after a body of a man was discovered.
The location is a place popularly known as “Kwa Msimango” bridge near a scrapyard at Angelfish Road in Kaalfontein.
The deceased who is estimated to be in his mid 30s had been stabbed on the head.
“Apparently, the victim was heard screaming by the occupants of a nearby home but they couldn’t investigate themselves as they feared for their safety. The screams were heard about 02:45” said Captain Ben Matimulane, the spokesperson of the Ivory Park SAPS.
When the body was discovered. Relevant law enforcement officials including detectives, a photographer, senior officials and fingerprint experts were called to the scene.
A murder case has been opened at Ivory Park Police Station. The body is currently at Germiston Mortuary and has not been identified by next of kin.
