Newly crowned Miss Earth South Africa, Lungo Katete spent her weekend on a clean up project and rehabilitation of the Kaalfontein wetland, know as Kaalspruit.

The aspiring architect Katete is all about a healthy lifestyle and clean environment. She recently told The Star Newspaper that “if we build in such a way that encourages people to want to live a healthy lifestyle , want to support the environment and want to make a change , it will be much easier because it’s accessible as it will be in your home and space.”

Katete was crowned last Friday the 13th of September 2019 at an auspicious occasion in Monte Casino.
