POLICE OFFICERS RECEIVE ACCOLADES

On Tuesday, 11 October 2022, Ekurhuleni Deputy District Commissioner congratulated Detectives for securing hefty sentences for criminals in their respective policing precints.

Brigadier Lebohang Machakela’s words of encouragement mostly came after two Detectives, Warrant Officer Abram Mphele of Vosloorus managed to secure life imprisonment for a murder case whereby the Accused, Raymond Maake, strangled and killed his girlfriend with a rope at his place and Sergeant M.P. Ramela of Tembisa FCS who also secured life imprisonment for an Ivory Park Rape case which he was investigating.

Members were awarded with certificates for their outstanding Performance.

Amongst those who received certificates for the lengthy sentences they secured are:

Sgt. B.E Nkuna of Vosloorus- 20 years imprisonment for murder
Constable R. Malubana of Tembisa – 10 years for murder
Sgt. L Njwambe of Springs – 12 years for Tempering with essential infrastructure
Sgt L.V Matlala of Springs for House robbery whereby accused 1 and 2, both handed down 15 years imprisonment
Sgt. M.E.Ntshangase of Tokoza – 12 years for murder
Const. T. Dlamini of Reigerpark -15 Years for Tempering with essential infrastructure
Sgt. G.V Khoza of Reigerpark for murder and attempted murder – 28 years imprisonment
Sgt N. G. Ramafalo of Rabie Ridge – 20 years for armed Robbery and 20 Years for robbery with Firearm
Sgt. P Marakalala POF Primrose – 15 Years for murder case
Warrant Officer G.R. Stewart of Nigel – 7 Years for Tempering with essential infrastructure
Const. B. S Nkosi of Nigel – 15 Years for Tempering with essential infrastructure
Sgt. M. N Mahlaba of Kwa-Thema – 15 Years for murder case
Warrant Officer A. S Kotze of Germiston – House robbery count 1-24 years imprisonment, Count 2- 18 years imprisonment
Sgt. B W Dlamini of Devon – 10 years imprisonment for Tempering with essential infrastructure
Sgt. G Masilela of Benoni FCS -15 years imprisonment for rape case occurred in Daveyton
Warrant Officer M. S Madonsela – Fraud case of Boksburg North -18 Years imprisonment
Sgt W.S Mavuso – Theft Benoni case – 12 Years imprisonment
Warrant Officer MJ Mofokeng – Carjacking and Possession of unlicensed firearm case of Bedfordview and Edenpark – 28 years imprisonment
Const. Moraba of Benoni FCS Actonville Rape case- 15 years imprisonment, and
Const.R F Roules – Actonville murder, kidnapping, Rape and Assault with intent to cause grivious bodily harm- 30 Years imprisonment
