MALE SUSPECT ARRESTED, BAKKIE RECOVERED IN TEMBISA

On Thursday 20 February 2025, at 14:45 the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) Community Liaison (CLU) Unit Officer, arrested a male suspect in Tembisa.
Following on information from a reliable source about an individual in possession of a suspicious white Ford bakkie in their yard.
Officers acted on the information and proceeded to a residence on Sikhakhane Street, Emfhuleni – where the said vehicle was spotted in the yard.
A thirty-eight (38) year old was found in the vicinity and officers proceeded to interviewing him.
Officers proceeded to test the vehicle which came back positive with a Rabie Ridge CAS number as robbed vehicle from the owner.
The suspect was immediately handcuffed and taken to Tembisa South Police Station, facing charges of possession of suspected stolen vehicle. He is expected to appear in the Tembisa Magistrates Court soon.
