10 NEW CORONAVIRUS RELATED DEATHS IN SOUTH AFRICA
As at today, 5 May 2020, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in South Africa is 7,572 an increase of 352 from previously reported cases. A total of 268,064 tests have been conducted to date with 10 523 tests done in the last 24 hours.
Unfortunately, we report a further 10 COVID-19 related deaths bringing the National death toll to 148. We express our condolences to the families and friends of the deceased.
The public is urged to continue practicing social distancing, wash hands regularly and wear a face mask in public.
