2 ARMED ROBBERY SUSPECTS SENTENCED TO 20 YEARS IMPRISONMENT EACH

Two (2) Suspects were found guilty at Tembisa Magistrate Court and sentenced to 20 years each direct imprisonment. Thanks to a job well done by Rabie Ridge SAPS Sergeant Ramafalo who made sure that no stone is left unturned during his investigation.

“It is alleged that on Thursday 13 June 2019 at 20:00 and on Friday 14 June 2019 at about 19:50 a case of Armed Robbery was opened at the station” said Sergeant Moremi of Rabie Ridge SAPS.

“On Friday 2019/06/14 at around 19:50 Sgt M Shirindza of Rabie Ridge SAPS Sector Manager was on duty when the complainant came running to report another armed robbery and he acted swiftly and managed to find the suspect on the same scene of crime they where robbing victims. They were arrested and another charge of Possession of Unlicenced Firearm and Ammunition was opened against the suspects.” Moremi said.

The docket was assigned to Detective Sergeant Nakampe Ramafalo of Rabie Ridge SAPS who managed to gather all the information needed before the suspects appeared at Court. The suspects were found guilty of both charges of armed robberies and possession of ammunition.

The management of Ekurhuleni District as well as the Station Management applauded the Investigating Officer for his efforts as this will show other suspects that “CRIME DOES NOT PAY AND NO ONE IS ABOVE THE LAW.”
