2022 MATRIC RESULTS FOR TEMBISA SCHOOLS

Last week we published the Matric Pass Rates of schools in Kaalfontein, Allandale, Ebony Park (KAE) and surrounding areas of Ivory Park and Rabie Ridge. There has been numerous requests to compile a similar list for schools in Tembisa.

KAE News gives the people what they want!

The top performing school in Tembisa was Jiyana Secondary School, which achieved an impressive pass rate of 96.36% with 129 bachelor passes. In contrast, the top performing school in the KAE area, JB Matabane Secondary School, achieved a pass rate of 86.6%.

Phomolong Secondary School, which made headlines last year when a female deputy principal was fatally shot while driving out of the school’s gate, came in second place in Tembisa with a pass rate of 90.64%. Phomolong also received the highest number of bachelor passes in the Tembisa, KAE, Ivory Park and Alexandra area with 134.

The worst performing school in Tembisa was Inqayizivele Secondary School with a pass rate of 62.35%, compared to KAE’s Kaalfontein Secondary School, which had a dismal 2022 matric pass rate of 55.09%.

Overall, the matric results for the Tembisa area show that there are schools in the area that are performing exceptionally well and producing excellent results, but also schools that are facing challenges and need more support to improve their performance. It’s important for the government, educators, and communities to work together to address these challenges, support these schools, and provide the best education for all students.

It is worth noting that this year has been particularly challenging for students due to the persistent power outages caused by Loadshedding. Despite the difficulties, the schools in Tembisa have managed to produce some impressive results. Congratulations to all of the students and teachers who have worked hard to achieve these results.
