On Monday, 19 May 2015 in the afternoon while the victim was at school, the convicted rapist, Bethuel Lesetja Makgota , who was a teacher by then, requested the 13-year-old victim to enter into his car. He drove with the victim to Clayville, to a certain house where he raped the victim.
On Wednesday, 21 October 2015, after school the Accused took the victim and drove to the same house where he raped her again.
On Friday 2015-10-23 the accused raped the accused at the same house
On 2015-10-29 after school the Accused raped the same victim at the same house
On Wednesday 2015-11-04 the same Accused raped the same victim at the same house
The victim ended up disclosing the rapes to her mother, who opened the case , and both the dockets were assigned to Detective Sgt Jackey Baloyi of Saps Tembisa FCS.
The accused was found guilty on the 28 of August 2024 at Tembisa Magistrate Court for 5 counts of rape and was sentenced to:
Count 1 life imprisonment
Count 2: Life imprisonment
Count 3 :life imprisonment
Count 4 : life imprisonment
Count 5 :life imprisonment
