50% OF COVID-19 PATIENTS HAVE RECOVERED IN GAUTENG
Although the Gauteng Province has the highest number of COViD-19 confirmed cases at 1,101. The province has a recorded an impressive total of 545 recoveries. Hence as at 18 April 2020 the recovery rate was 49,5%.
The number of active cases in the Gauteng Provice is 550. Active cases are cases of people with the coronavirus at the time of publishing. Therefore, active cases is the number of confirmed cases minus the recoveries and deaths.
The Province has recorded 6 coronavirus related deaths. The City of Johannesburg has the highest number of COVID-19 confirmed cases at 660.
