As at today, 15 April 2020, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in South Africa is 2,506. This is an increase of 91 from the previously reported cases.
Unfortunately, 7 more people have passed away due to the coronavirus bringing the National death toll to 34. Six deaths have been recorded in KwaZulu-Natal and one in Gauteng. We send our condolences to the deceased families and friends.
The Deceased are all older than 50 and most had an underlying disease:
50 year-old Gauteng Male died on the 13th of April 2020. The deceased had Chronic Asthma.

- 71 year-old KwaZulu-Natal Female died on the 10th of April 2020. The deceased had diabetes, hypertension and renal failure.
- 73 year-old KwaZulu-Natal Female died on the 13th of April 2020. The deceased had diabetes and hypertension.
- 79 year-old KwaZulu-Natal Male died on the 10th of April 2020.
- 79 year-old KwaZulu-Natal Female died on the 13th of April 2020.
- 86 year-old KwaZulu-Natal Female died on the 9th of April 2020. The deceased had hypertension.
- 91 year-old KwaZulu-Natal Male died on the 12th of April 2020. The deceased had diabetes.
