AMBASSADORS CROWNED PHILLYS GAMES CHAMPIONS
Tembisa football club, Ambassadors FC were crowned Philly’s Games 2021 champions.
Ambassadors won 3-0 on a penalty shootout on Monday, 3 January 2022. Ambassadors beat 18 Mambas FC in the 30th edition of the Phillys Games tournament.
The final was played at Tembisa’s Makhulong Stadium. In an interesting development, the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) technology was used during the final match.
The Phillys Games are the first Kasi tournament to be televised. All games were broadcast on SuperSport Variety 4, DStv Channel 209.
Ambassadors walk away with the Championship and R210,000.00 cash prize.
