The African National Congress (ANC) Branch of Ward 111 hosted a political lecture yesterday the 12th of October 2019 at Oracle Secondary School, in Kaalfontein.
The lecture was hosted under the theme ‘What Is The Task of Second Layer of Leadership?’. The keynote speaker was given by the Member of Executive Committee (MEC) for Human Settlement, Urban Planning and COGTA, Lebogang Maile.
Maile is one of the male MECs in the Gauteng Department that recently survived the chop. The ANC National Executive Committee applied pressure to the Gauteng Premier, David Makhura, to drop one male premier. This is because of ANC’s gender parity policy.
Eventually, Dr Kgosientso Ramokgopa the MEC for Economic Development, Agriculture and Environment voluntarily resigned also saving Maile and other male MECs In Makhura’ cabinet jobs in the process.
Maile’s speech discussed how the current living conditions of the population determine how the revolution will be led. He made a distinction with the generation of the late ANC former President OR Tambo.
