ARE YOU 50 YEARS AND OLDER? ITS YOUR TURN TO GET VACCINATED!
As of Thursday, South African Citizens over the age of 50 are now eligible to register to get vaccinated against COVID-19. People who are above the age of 50 can register on government’s Electronic Vaccination Data System (EVDS).

What you need to register?
- Full Name and Surname
- ID/Passport Number
- Contact Numbers
- Medical Aid Number, if on medical aid
Vaccination for over 50s will start on the 15th July 2021 at vaccination sites. The nearest vaccination sites for KAE residents are:

?Midrand Fire Station, Halfway House
?Esangweni Community Health Care Centre, Tembisa
? Birchleigh Clinic, Birchleigh
? Tembisa Hospital
Vaccination sites are open during weekdays from 08:30 until 15:00.
The Gauteng Department of Health urges all eligible people to get vaccinated. Even if you are not registered just present yourself at your nearest vaccination site with your ID. You will be assisted to register and get vaccinated.
You can call the National Toll Free Call Centre on 0800 029 999 where somebody can help you register and/or answer your questions about the vaccination rollout.
As at 30 June 2021, a total of 689 590 Gauteng residents have been vaccinated.
Vaccination is NOT compulsory.
