Mrs Africa finalist Thando Lamula-Shirinda raised funds to donate school shoes to Ebony Park Primary School and JB Matabane Secondary School for underprivileged children.
Thando is the epitome of beauty with brains. In addition to her obvious beauty she also holds an impressive 4 academic degrees with her latest being a Masters Degree in Taxation Laws. She did her first degree at Pearson Institute of Higher Education (formally known as Midrand Graduate Institute) and has spent a significant amount of her life in Tembisa.
It is only right that on Friday, the 11th of October 2019, she wore her philanthropic hat and delivered donated school shoes and funds to Ebony Primary School and JB Matabane Secondary School. She was accompanied by community leaders and members of the School Governing Body namely Koena Rammone, Mthobeli Ndleleni and Sibusiso Moolar.
Due to her passion for education she has founded an Educational Foundation (the Sui-Generis Foundation Trust) for the benefit of the underprivileged. Amongst other things, the purpose of this foundation is to provide educational enrichment, academic support, and provision of scholarships, bursaries, awards, research, training, CV drafting, career guidance and various outreach programmer for the poor and needy.
For the purpose of pursuing her philanthropic calling she has entered the Mrs Africa pageant and is a finalist in the competition. In essence, she will be competing at a continental and ultimately at a global level.
Thando believes that this pageant will empower her to learn and bring back the experience to grow her Foundation and contribute in vast platforms in South Africa.
“I am really grateful to Africa Pageants as it has given me a great platform and an opportunity to pursue my philanthropic calling not just locally but at a continental and ultimately at a global level. It is my dream to produce international graduates and global citizens.” Thando said.

The Mrs Africa crowning ceremony will take place at the ACCP Hall in Pretoria on the 2nd of November 2019.
