CIT HEIST IN KAALFONTEIN
Kaalfontein looked like a movie scene yesterday, 02 March 2021. Helicopters roaming the sky, heavy police presence, people helping to cash on the ground and cars on fire.
This was a result of a Cash In Transit Heist which happened at Archerfish Drive near Eskom College around 16:00. Armed robbers crashed into a Fidelity Truck causing it to overturn.
Once the truck was upside down, two explosions were heard as far as Glen Austin in rapid succession. Robbers allegedly took off with undisclosed amount of cash.
