After 524 days, the long awaited Ebony Park-Kaalfontein Clinic which is located at Archerfish Avenue and Mudhopper Street in Ebony Park has finally opened it’s doors to the public.
KAE News visited the clinic this morning of the 28th of January 2020 and we are pleased to announce that the clinic is fully operational.
It includes standby electrical power supply which allows continuity of power supply to some critical areas during loadshedding within the facility. Residents of KAE will no longer walk long distances to access health care.
Further innovations include LED lighting systems where practical, which allow for a lower energy consumption, lower maintenance costs compared to conventional lighting and as a result reduced operational costs.
The R45 million clinic consists of emergency wing, TB and ARV departments, waiting area, ante-natal care unit, new waiting areas, medical dispensary, and parking for staff and visitors. Four ambulances are currently stationed at the clinic.
