Sibusiso Moolar and Mthobeli Ndleleni are community leaders. They are Ebony Park residents and always providing leadership. The pair are members of the Ebony Park Primary School School Governing Body (SGB) and are leaders of the Labor Desk, which is a non political body which mission is to get local residents gainful employment.
They were bought to action when they heard of an unfortunate incident in Ebony Park Extension 2. On the 11th of January 2020, a 22 year old female took her own life. The deceased was unemployed and enrolled in an adult school. It is unclear why she committed suicide.
The parents of the deceased are unemployed and have no source of income. Moolar and Ndleleni heard about this and knocked on the doors of local stores seeking donations for the funeral.
Thanks to them, Boxer Superstore at Archerfish Crossing, Kaalfontein and the Pick n Pay at Busy Corner Mall, Ebony Park donated groceries to the family. The stores pledged meat, perishable foods, sugar, rice, maize meal and more.
Furthermore, the Ivory Park Taxi Association also donated 7 taxis for the funeral which was held on Saturday the 18th of January 2020.
