CONFIRMED CORONAVIRUS CASE IN IVORY PARK POLICE STATION
A member of the South African Police Service (SAPS) in Ivory Park Police Station has sadly tested positive for COVID-19.
The National Police Spokesperson, Brigadier Vishnu Naidoo, confirmed to KAE News that a member of the police in the Ivory Park Policing Precinct tested positive to the novel coronavirus.
Accordingly, the Ivory Park Police Station at Freedom Drive has been temporarily closed to the public. The police have moved next door to the Ivory Park North Hall. Members of the public may go to the Hall to open criminal cases and certify documents.
The police station is currently being fumigated and will operate by Monday, 15th June 2020. Arrangements have been made for the holding of suspects currently in police custody.
