To tell you the truth, there’s no events ko Kasi this weekend. Azikhiphi. Phela ke January boss. Chelete efedile last year.

Fortunately for us, we got our hands on Mam’ Zwane’s book ‘Conquering The Poverty of the Mind’. Rita Zwane is the founder and owner of the 2017 Best Shisamanya in South Africa, Imbizo.

The book is Zwane’s memoir and details how in 1989 Phumlaphi ‘Rita’ Zwane left KwaZulu-Natal to find work in Johannesburg after becoming a teenage mother. All she had was a Matric Certificate, the love of her family and her faith.

Started in Ivory Park. Now Imbizo has establishments in Ebony Park (Busy Corner) and in Midrand.

The book can be bought at all good book stores for R280. We will definitely write a book review after reading. Especially if Loadshedding doesn’t interrupt our reading.
