EFF BRANCH CELEBRATES 4th YEAR ANNIVERSARY

Ivory Park- The Economic Freedom Fighters of Ward 133 (Lusaka Branch) in Ivory Park celebrated their Fourth Year Anniversary today the 12th of October 2019.

Programme Directors of the event were the Spokesperson and the Deputy Secretary of the Branch, Lengana Mnisi and Khutso Maifadi respectively.

Except for sporadic incidents of technical glitches the anniversary was successful and the mood jovial. The hall was packed and local youth talent was showcased. The talent show programme organized by the Branch kicked off around 15:00. They also wasn’t any shortage of revolutionary songs from the floor.

Ivory Park North Hall

Performances from the Youth of Ivory Park included dance, gumboots dance, poetry and drama. Arts groups that performed included Impumelelo Yethu Drum Majorettes, Royalty Dance, Bathi Siyafana, Gifted Souls Entertainment and others.

The political program of the Branch started a little before 18:00 and was opened by the National Anthem and a moment of silence for an EFF member of the Branch that recently lost her life.

Other neighboring branches present included Ward 111, Ward 92, Ward 77, Ward 78 and Ward 112. The Chief Whip of the EFF in the City of Johannesburg Council Spetletle Raseruther was also in attendance.

The Chairperson of the Branch Klaas Seerane concluded the meeting by warning against agent provocateurs and people that try to destroy the EFF. He told the gathering that the Ward in 2021 will not be won by WhatsApp activists but hardwork on the ground, corner to corner, church to church and door to door. He also urged all delegates going to the National People’s Assembly (NPA) in December to ensure they take the mandate of the Branch.

The event ended with food being served and the cake being cut for the community.
