ESKOM IMPLEMENTS STAGE 2 LOADSHEDDING: KAE NOT AFFECTED…FOR NOW
Eskom has implemented Loadshedding with immediate effect. The Loadshedding will be suspended on Tuesday morning at 05:00.
“Unit 5 of Medupi Power Station has just tripped, taking some 700MW capacity with” said Eskom in a statement on Monday afternoon.
Our areas of Kaalfontein, Allandale, Ebony Park (KAE), Ivory Park, President Park, Glen Austin, Mayibuye, Rabie Ridge, Klipfontein and Tswelopele will NOT be affected by the Loadshedding.
Eskom says that the constrained supply situation will persist throughout the week, with the possibility of more loadshedding likely being implemented should the generation capacity deteriorate further.
