We previously reported that the power utility is restoring power in co-operating areas.
The power utility is conducting audits across the Gauteng Province. The aim of the audits is to remove illegal connections, disconnect bypassed meters and issue fines for contraventions.
Bypassed meters were recently removed in parts of Kaalfontein, Ivory Park and Ebony Park. Communities are advised to buy legal electricity in retails outlets or through internet banking and to avoid ‘buy one, get one free’.
