President Cyril Ramaphosa will address the nation today, 11 January 2021, at 20:00 on developments in South Africa’s national response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
This comes after the National Coronavirus Command Council (NCCC) met on the 6 January 2021.
According to an insider, Ramaphosa is expected to extend the adjusted Level 3 lockdown to 15 February 2021.
The last time Ramaphosa addressed the nation, on December 28, he announced a 14-day ban on the sale of alcohol.
To date, SA has 1,231,597 confirmed Covid-19 cases, with 33,163 deaths. The total number of recoveries is 966,368.
