FOILED CIT HEIST IN PHOMOLONG
A cash-in-transit heist was attempted near Phomolong Secondary School on SM Songo Avenue in Phomolong on Wednesday morning, 16 October 2024.
Criminals bombed the cash-in-transit van en-route to load an ATM, and injured two (2) Fidelity security guards who were rushed to hospital. A passer by was also caught in the crossfire.
The heavily armed unknown suspects failed to take the money from the cash van and had a shootout with Rabie Ridge SAPS.
The suspects used a white AUDI, a white Toyota HiLux and a red Toyota HiLux as their getaway vehicles.
