GAUTENG GOVERNMENT LAUNCHES COVID-19 MOBILE VACCINATION DRIVE

In an effort to ramp up the vaccination programme, the Gauteng Provincial Government will this week launch the COVID-19 mobile vaccination programme in Johannesburg, Ekurhuleni and Tshwane.

“The drive is aimed at assisting all eligible persons for vaccination to get vaccinated near their places of residents or work. Mobile clinics and additional vaccination sites will be used. Transport will be provided to those in need” said Thabo Masebe, the spokesperson for the Gauteng Government.

Government urges persons above 50 years to register for vaccination. All eligible persons are urged to make use of the opportunities created to get vaccinated. As part of the programme, persons eligible to get COVID-19 vaccine will be transported by buses from local pick-up points to a local vaccination site, free of charge.

Mobile vaccination sites will also visit SASSA Pay points to vaccinate social grant recipients who are eligible to get vaccinated. SASSA recipients over 50 years are requested to bring ID, Driver’s Licence or Police Signed Affidavit. They will be a Mobile Vaccination Site below:

Local Pickup Points will be across Tembisa this week as per attached going to the Rabasotho Hall Vaccination Site. Buses are free of charge.
