GAUTENG SCHOOLS GOING DIGITAL

The Fourth Industrial Revolution is making its way to Gauteng schools. From Friday, the 11th of October 2019, they won’t be a need for students in Gauteng to take notes. They will have the whole curriculum in the palm of their hands.

The Gauteng MEC for Education and Youth Development Panyaza Lesufi announced on Twitter that every teacher and learner in Gauteng will now have full access to curriculum lessons online.

It took 6 years for the Department of Education to bring Grade 1 to Matric curriculum online. The digital curriculum will be launched on Friday. Panyaza tweeted “Our township education will never be the same!.”

“Parents will now find it easy to assist learners with homework. You can even assist them even when you are not at home. You can even sample your own test and exam for your own child and the system will mark it for you freely. The future is here, I can touch it!”.
