Today, 26 July 2020, we celebrate the first anniversary of Drip Footwear. The shoe company has grown in leaps and bounds in the last year. Drip was founded by Ivory Park native Lekau Sehoana.
Sehoana sold the first shoe on this day last year. Lekau grew up in the dusty streets of Ivory Park. He became a Civil Engineer, quit his day job and started his own shoe business.
KAE News interviewed the entrepreneur last year. Since we did that interview, the brand has sold more than 15 000 pairs, grossed more than R14 million, opened 2 stores and has become the quintessential “Township Dream”.
The company is opening 4 new stores soon and introducing more colors.
