IVORY PARK POLICE OUT ON AN AWARENESS CAMPAIGN

The Ivory Park’s Social Crime Prevention Team, assisted by a sector manager and the Community Policing Forum have embarked on an awareness campaign aimed at addressing crime and criminality.

The campaign was conducted at the Ivory Park’s Extension Two Taxi Rank. Its intentions was to encourage the local residents passing through the rank to be the ears and eyes of the police on the ground.

Awareness was created around the importance of tıp offs on drug dealers and the proliferating illegal firearms and the role that the community can play in bringing the criminals to book.

The issue of poor police service was dealt with, and the community was assured that the station’s management, led by Brigadier David Mbongeni Ngcobo, is readily available to listen to their complaints relating to any shoddy or poor service received from the police.
