IVORY PARK WOMAN ARRESTED FOR DRUG DEALING: CRYSTAL METH, DOUBLE STAR, AND DAGGA RECOVERED WITH VALUE OF OVER R15,000
A 33-year-old woman from Ivory Park 2 has been arrested for dealing in drugs.
The Ekurhuleni District’s Crime Intelligence followed up and eventually verified information. When it was confirmed that drugs were being sold, they visited together with the Ivory Park SAPS crime prevention team members and retrieved the drugs, money that was strongly believed to have been from the proceeds of drugs.
The drugs found at the address were crystal method and double star (commonly known as goof on the streets) and dagga. The drugs had a combined value of just above R15,000.00 (Fifteen thousand rand).
Brigadier David Mbongeni Ngcobo, the Station Commander of the Ivory Park SAPS, has congratulated the group responsible for following and eventually arresting the drug dealer. “We need more positive information about crime as it is now crystal clear that the police alone cannot get rid of criminals by themselves. We need all the assistance from the community,” said Brigadier Ngcobo.
The suspect will appear in the Tembisa Magistrate Court as soon as possible and is currently in police custody.
