JOZI PROPERTY RATES

The City of Johannesburg (CoJ) is inviting all residents, ratepayers, stakeholders and interested parties to attend the comsultative regional meetings across CoJ.

This will provide the opportunity for participants to give meaningful input into the review of the Property Rates Policy 2020/21.

Rates Policy review is divided into two phases. The City is currently on the first phase

Phase 1 is when the City requests input to the current Rates Policy from all stakeholders to be able to create a draft policy for the ensuing year.

Phase 2 of the Rates Policy review take place in April 2020. This phase is part of the public consultation for the IDP, Budget, tariffs and all budget-related policies.

The Joburg Rates Policy review is done to enhance the policy while ensuring that the required revenue is realised and the provision of basic services continue uninterrupted.
