LATE ADMISSIONS CRISIS IN KAE LEAVES PARENTS STRANDED

Late admissions remain a pressing concern for many parents in KAE as their children struggle to secure placements for the 2025 academic year.

This issue mostly affects parents who did not use the Gauteng Department of Education’s (GDE) Online Admission platform during the application period.

One of the schools most impacted is Kaalfontein Secondary School, which has seen an increase in demand for placements. The school, renowned for its recent academic success, achieved an impressive 94.46% matric pass rate and produced 136 bachelor passes, making it one of the top-performing schools in the province.

This achievement has likely contributed to the increased interest from parents seeking quality education for their children. However, the school has announced that it is already operating at full capacity and cannot accommodate additional learners.

Parents facing difficulties are urged to seek assistance directly from the Johannesburg East District office located in Sandton.

The GDE has also assured the public that their Contact Centre is ready to assist with all queries related to the 2025 Online Admissions until 30 January 1025.
