LAUNCH OF BRT AND LICENCING HUB IN TEMBISA

Today the 28th of October 2019, the City of Ekurhuleni (CoE) launched the Harambee Service Extension and Licencing Hub in Tembisa.

Harambee is the City’s Bus Rapid System which unveiled a new fleet of 40 buses and 2 new bus stations for Tembisa and surrounding communities. It is the City’s investment to provide safe, reliable and efficient transport to the community

A Memorandum Of Agreement has been signed by CoE ,SANTACO Ekurhuleni Region and Ekurhuleni Gauteng National Taxi Alliance.

The event was addressed by the CoE’s Executive Mayor Mzwandile Masina. The Minister of of Transport Fikile Mbalula and the Gauteng Premier David Makhura were also in attendance.

The people of Tembisa will be happy to know that they will now also have a Driving Licence Testing Center with an added Roadworthy Vehicle testing Facility.
