LESUFI TO SPEARHEAD GAUTENG ENERGY TRANSFORMER REPLACEMENT PROGRAMME DISCUSSION IN KAE

Following the successful implementation of the Gauteng Provincial Government’s Transformer Replacement Programme in various townships, Premier Panyaza Lesufi is set to visit KAE on Friday, 17 November 2023.

The Premier, who is also the Chairperson of the ANC in Gauteng, has set an ambitious target to restore and replace all failed transformers in Gauteng, particularly in townships.

Engaging residents in various localities, including Orange Farm today, Lesufi has been actively involved in addressing the challenges faced due to failed transformers.

Notable progress has been made in areas like Kagiso, Doornkop, Zola, and Donsonville, where new transformers were installed after prolonged periods of electricity outages.

In continuation of these efforts, an event is scheduled for tomorrow, aiming to provide further insights into the ongoing initiatives. The ANC programme will witness Premier Lesufi’s engagement with various ANC structures, including the Branch Executive Committees (BEC), Councillors, and Zonal Committees. The discussions will be held at the following locations and times:
