LOAD REDUCTION ON WEDNESDAY MORNING

Eskom will implement load reduction early on Wednesday, 7 October 2020, morning. The load reduction will be implemented in Kaalfontein, Ebony Park, Ivory Park, Rabie Ridge, Tswelopelo and Lindokuhle.

The power utility says that load reduction is implemented in high density areas to avoid over loading of the network and transformer failures. The load reduction will be implemented from 05:00 to 09:00 in the morning.

The above areas have had instances of load reduction a total of 3 times last week. Eskom is also “secretly” turning off power in parts of Ebony Park and Kaalfontein without prior notice.

Residents are urged to always treat the electricity as live as it may come back at anytime. Residents are also reminded to switch off electrical appliances to avoid power surges when the power returns.
