Eskom will implement load reduction tonight, 16 July 2021. The load reduction will be implemented in parts of Kaalfontein, Ebony Park, Ivory Park, Tswelopele and Lindokuhle.
The load reduction will be for 5 hours from 17:00 until 22:00. The power utility implements Load Reduction in high density areas with instances of illegal connections and meter bypassing to avoid network overloading.
Meanwhile, certain parts of Ivory Park have not had any electricity since Tuesday morning. The reason for this is unknown and Eskom has not responded to our queries at the time of publishing.
