LOADSHEDDING TOMORROW AFTERNOON
Eskom will implement Stage 2 Loadshedding in Kaalfontein, Allandale, Ebony Park (KAE) and surrounding areas of Ivory Park, President Park, Lindokuhle, Rabie Ridge, Tswelopelo and Midrand tomorrow.
The electricity will go off at 14:00 and return at 16:30 tomorrow, 16 July 2020. This is as Eskom implements Stage 2 loadshedding from 14:00 tomorrow. Due to the much colder weather electricity demand has increased compared to yesterday.
Eskom urges the public to assist by switching off heating appliances, geysers and heaters.
When the power goes off it is safer to disconnect any electrical appliances that you were using. When the power comes back on, it may do so with a momentary surge, which may damage electronically controlled appliances such as TVs, decoders and computers. The surge may also cause the transformer to fail as experienced in Ebony Park Stop 40.
Eskom is not loadshedding KAE today. Parts of Ivory Park, Kaalfontein and Ebony Park are experiencing power outages as a result of electrical infrastructure failure and overloading.
