LOCAL SCHOOL RANSACKED

A case of burglary has been opened at the Ivory Park Police Station after a local primary school was broken into and valuable property stolen.

“A security guard on duty at the Sedi Laka Primary School, Kaalfontein, on Thursday night saw a group of five people coming into the school premises. Since he was by himself, the lone guard sneaked out to summon for help. By the time he and the assistance came back the intruders had already left.” said Captain Ben Matimulane, the spokesperson of Ivory Park SAPS.

On further inspection it was discovered that property valued at more than fifty one thousand rand (R51,000.00) had been stolen. The property taken include a server, two laptops, two desktops and a television.

The station commander of the Ivory Park SAPS, Brigadier David Mbongeni Ngcobo, has condemned this, branding it an act of selfishness and pure cruelty by the intruders concerned.

“The future of our children is being harmed by the actions of few individuals whose only focus is their pockets. We call on anyone with information to contact us on 011 990 9600, or crime stop number on 08600 10111,” said Brigadier Ngcobo.

He reminds the community that all of their information will be treated with confidence.
