MANHUNT LAUNCHED AFTER 6 INMATES ESCAPE
The South African Police Service (SAPS) have launched a manhunt after six (6) inmates escaped while enroute to Court at Vosloorus.
Five of the escapees are Zimbabwean nationals.
The awaiting trial prisoners were freed by a gang of armed men from a prison truck at the corner of Barry Marais and Rondebult Boksburg.
According to police reports, the prison truck was ambushed by three armed men driving a silver Audi vehicle.
Amongst escapees, five were due at court for a Dawnpark case of Business Robbery, attempted murder and possession of unlicensed firearm.
The remaining escapee was due for his first appearance on a shoplifting case.

Robert Hlatshwayo
Thulani Dube
Augustine Moyo
Mbongiseni Mkandla
