MASHABA RESIGNS AS JOZI MAYOR
Braamfontein- Herman Masha announced at a media conference today that effective end of November 2019 he’s stepping down as City of Johannesburg Municipality Executive Mayor.
This comes after the election of Helen Zille as Federal Chairperson of the Democratic Alliance (DA) over the weekend.
“The DA I signed up for, is no longer the DA that emerged from the recent federal council meeting. I can’t reconcile myself with people who believe that race is not important in their discussion of inequalities.”he said.
His resignation is from the City and DA.
