MATRIC RESULTS APPROVED BY UMALUSI
Umalusi, which is the quality assurance council for Matric Results announced that after it’s evaluation they was no systemic irregularities for exam papers.
The council approved exam results which will be made public on Tuesday, the 7th of January 2020. “The quality of questions papers is a very important aspect of the integrity and credibility of the examination,” said Umalusi CEO, Dr Mafu Rakometsi.
Besides load shedding which affected the practical exams for Computer Applications Technology and Information Technology in some parts of the country. The 2019 Matric Exams went smoothly.
Umalusi chairperson Professor John Volmink told the media that they had observed a worrying trend in mathematics, where there seemed to be no signs of improvement in the results.
“Umalusi has observed a worrying trend in mathematics, where the subject does not seem to be progressing in tandem with other cognate subjects in terms of learner performance.”
