MEET NEW LOCAL FOOTBALL LEADERSHIP

The local football authority, Midrand Local Football Association (MLFA), held their 2022 Annual General Meeting and Elective Congress on the 23rd of April 2022 in the Ivory Park North Hall.

A total of 61 teams participated in the elections. The new elected committee will govern the LFA for the next 4 years. New Elected Executive is as follows:

Chairperson – Mr Sithembiso Buthelezi
Deputy Chairperson – Miss Siyabulela Loyilane
Deputy Chairperson – Mr Charles Makhafola
Secretary – Mr Leon Mafuna
Deputy Secretary – Ms Makara Mokoena
Treasurer- Mr Ben Seemela
Additional Members- Monica Jojo, Phillip Mdluli, Caroline Basiamisi, Lucky Ndlovu, Tebogo Ramalata, Dingaan Masina, Ngoako Motuku, Petersen Ndou and Benjamin Mathabela

Mr Bob Maredi, who has been in the seat since its inception in 2006 was handed the Lifetime Chairman’s position of the MLFA.

The new Executive hopes to take Midrand LFA to greater heights and take the baton from the previous leaders.

“We wish to thank the members of the clubs and the outgoing executive for dedicating their resources especially finance and time to the development of the greater midrand area. The next few weeks will be sorbet on handover and also reinforcing relations whilst developing the strategy of the next 4 years” said newly elected Chairperson of the association, Sithembiso Buthelezi.
