OLIFANTSFONTEIN – Two Primary School learners have passed on in a gruesome accident involving a taxi and motor bike. The accident happened on the M57 outside Olifantsfontein.
It is undertood that the minibus taxi was transporting learners to Madibatlou Middle School in Olifantsfontein when it was hit by a motorbike.
More than 10 learners collapsed after witnessing the accident. Paramedicas from Carewell Emergency Services were dispatched to the scene. One child went to cardio respiratory arrest and was revived with prompt action of CPR.
The MEC of Education in Gauteng, Panyaza Lesufi, is at the school and psycho social team has been dispatched.
