MPHAKATHI SETS ALLEGED GUNMAN ON FIRE

On Saturday, a peaceful After Tears session in the Phomolong section of Tembisa, turned violent when two (2) men got into a heated argument.

Tragically, the altercation escalated and one of the men allegedly shot the other, taking his life.

According to witnesses, members of the community, known as Mphakathi, quickly sprang into action and chased down the gunman. They apprehended him and, in a shocking act of vigilantism, doused him with paraffin and set him on fire.

The burning man was eventually rescued by police and taken into custody. The incident is currently under investigation and police have urged any witnesses to come forward with information.

This tragic event serves as a reminder of the ongoing issues of violence and crime in Tembisa and the desperate measures that some members of the community feel compelled to take in order to protect themselves and their loved ones.
