The Station Commander of the Ivory Park SAPS, Brigadier David Mbongeni Ngcobo, is thrilled by the arrival of a state of the art mobile police station for the people within the Ivory Park policing precinct.
The mobile station will be evenly rotated within the precinct for easier access and convenient usage by the people. Taking a taxi in order to access some of our services, especially daily services such as certification and opening up of dockets, will be extensively minimised.
“This mobile station arrives just a week after the launch of the nationwide and provincial safer festive season operation. It will come in very handy in that visibility within iur area will be greatly enhanced,” said Brigadier Ngcobo.
The mobile station is already in use, and people should get accustomed to getting police service, literally, at their doorsteps.
It was at Busy Corner Mall today.
“We appeal for continued cooperation between us as the police and the community in order to deal decisively with criminal elements whose mission is to disturb peace during the festive season and beyond,” added Brigadier Ngcobo.
Furthermore people are encouraged to be extra careful in order to not fall victims to crime. Some of the measures one can take to be safe from criminals are to avoid carrying huge amounts of money on them, use cards for transactions, avoid parking in outside spaces, seeing to it that their valuables are not left lying carelessly in vehicles, and be aware of their surroundings when driving.
