NO LOADSHEDDING EXPECTED FOR THE REST OF THE WEEK
Eskom will suspend Loadshedding tonight at 22:00 and no loadshedding is expected for the rest of the week. The power utility says it has returned 4 generation units to service.
Available capacity has risen to more than 34 000MW, highest so far this year.
This has abled Eskom to suspend the current period of Loadshedding. The public is urged to continue to reduce the usage of heaters, geysers and other appliances as the system remains unpredictable and unreliable.
Meanwhile, they are numerous transformers that have failed in Ivory Park, Ebony Park, Allandale and Kaalfontein as a result of overloading. Expected time of restoration for areas affected by power outages is unfortunately unknown at this time.
