ON AND OFF WATER SUPPLY IN KAE AND SURROUNDING AREAS

Rand Water, the bulk water supply to Johannesburg Water, has issued a notice of “20% water restrictions” to the City of Johannesburg and other municipalities in Gauteng.

The restrictions are due to network being under severe pressure whereby water demand is consistently exceeding the water supply.

The restrictions are implemented to allow for the recovery of water network systems and will impact parts of Johannesburg were residents will experience intermittent water supply.

The Rem Allandale and President Park reservoirs which supply greater Midrand, President Park, Kaalfontein, Ebony Park, Rabie Ridge and Ivory Park will be restricted.

Residents are advised to always have buckets full of water for when the water is temporarily switched off. The community is also reminded to save water and use water sparingly.
