In an unprecedented move, Phillys Games, the annual soccer tournament that play in Tembisa every December will this year play behind closed doors due to COVID-19 regulations.
No spectators or vendors will be allowed at the soccer games this year. All matches, including the final on the 30th of December, will be played behind closed doors with strict COVID-19 protocols being followed by the teams and officials.
The Phillys Games will be available via Live Streaming on a yet to be announced platform.
Team affiliations for seniors have now also been opened. The fee is R5 000 with 16 teams allowed to participate. Winning team takes home R100 000,00.
Tournament will kick off on the 20th of December and final to be played on the 30th. Each round is played over 2 legs excluding the final.
